Healing Our World:

A Learning, Advocacy, and Action Series

Each Healing Our World unit includes 3 components:

  1. Learning: We will study Jewish teachings connected to a pressing contemporary issue such as: environmentalism, racial justice, human rights, etc.

  2. Advocacy: We will explore ways to advocate and create change around the issue, deepening our awareness and relationships to local and national organizations working on these issues.

  3. Action: We will turn our learning into collective action to heal our world, actualizing the Jewish value of Tikkun Olam.

All of these components are explored over the course of an evening: we will study an issue through a Jewish lens and explore ways to stay informed, advocate and take action on that issue within our community. We will forge connections between the Den community and local organizations striving toward justice, for action items and ways to stay informed.

Topics Include (but not limited to):

  • Climate Change + Sustainability

  • Housing Security

  • Racial Equity

  • Refugee Relief

  • LGBTQ+ Rights

  • Reproductive Rights + Jewish Law
