Rabbinic Internship
the Den Collective Overview:
The Den is a growing organization at the cutting edge of the changing American Jewish landscape. The Den is about deep belonging and transformational Jewish exploration. We build intentional Jewish community with 20s to early 40s throughout Maryland, Northern Virginia, and Washington DC. The Den strives to be collaborative, experimental, transparent, and radically welcoming. We foster safe and sacred spaces that invite everyone to truly be themselves; vulnerable, transparent, and real.
Position Overview:
As a rabbinic intern at the Den you would immerse yourself in our Greater Washington Jewish community 8 weekends a year, with opportunities to teach Torah, take part in community organizing experiences, and participate in curating a variety of intimate Den classes and gatherings including Shabbat meals and Havdalah singing circles with our Den band. Mid-week you will have the opportunity to teach a virtual class and offer rabbinic pastoral care. You will be mentored and supported by our talented team of Den rabbis.

You have strong interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to build relationships with a diverse set of people.
You are proactive, take initiative, and are a creative problem solver.
You have a high degree of professionalism and emotional maturity, with the ability to treat confidential information with discretion.
You have a commitment to listening and working with humility, and to supporting a space for all diverse perspectives within our team.
You are calm under pressure, have a sense of humor, and are kind.
Qualifications:
Rabbinical Student at an accredited institution.
At least three years of seminary training.
