In partnership with the Jewish Coalition Against Domestic Abuse (JCADA), the Den is proud to be participating in Purple Shabbat this year!
October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month (DVAM) and JCADA’s Purple Shabbat heightens awareness of this pervasive issue. Participating in JCADA Purple Shabbat raises awareness about the importance of supporting survivors of intimate partner violence (IPV), reinforces that abuse will not be tolerated, and normalizes conversations about healthy and unhealthy relationship behaviors. Additionally, you are helping ensure that your constituents have access to JCADA’s life-saving services and resources so everyone can live safe and empowered lives.
Come together for the Den’s JCADA Purple Shabbat Lunch and Learn, hosted by Den member Miriam Levitin. Together we will learn about healthy and unhealthy relationships and raise awareness about intimate partner violence (IPV), more commonly known as domestic abuse. Feel free to wear something purple to show your support for survivors.
Location and details will be shared with registered participants.
