Rosh Hashana Challah Bake + Learn

Welcome the sweetness of the New Year with an evening of challah making, learning, and community!

Together, we’ll mix, shape, and braid our own Rosh Hashanah challahs while exploring Jewish teachings and engaging in thoughtful conversation inspired by the themes of the High Holy Days. Along the way, we’ll make space to reflect, connect, and prepare for the year ahead alongside friends old and new.

Whether you’re a seasoned challah maker or trying your first braid, no previous experience is needed. Come ready to get your hands in the dough, meet new people, and welcome the New Year with a little extra sweetness. You’ll head home with your own handmade Rosh Hashanah challah to enjoy and share!

We’ll gather in Chevy Chase, MD. Specific location details will be shared with registrants after the registration deadline.

To help cover the costs of this gathering, we invite you to make a $20 contribution that supports the Den and helps us continue creating gatherings like this one. If that amount is cost prohibitive, please contribute whatever feels meaningful and comfortable to you. Every gift helps sustain this community.

This gathering has reached full capacity. Please reach out to us if you'd like to be added to the waitlist, and we will let you know if a spot opens up. And as always, we look forward to seeing you at any of our other Den gatherings!
